Deformat began as a symbol/sigil for releasing various tapes and CD3s of John Merrik and his friends’ music.
It later evolved into a mostly online label in the mid-2000s for breakcore, closely associated with the website he had started: ihatebreakcore.
Specializing in hard music, it created and curated releases in harder genres for about 8 years… and then fell silent.
After over a decade, it is back.
Deformat is back.

To send demos, the easiest and fastest way is to reach out to John Merrik via @wolfmerrik on IG. Additionally, you can send a message via Bandcamp fan email. Eventually, a contact form will be added to this website… but it isn’t exactly a priority, it is not the 90s, people don’t even look at crap like this on a website anymore.
